A Wedding Planner Contract is the essential binding agreement between a professional wedding planner or coordinator and a couple for the planning, coordination, and management of their wedding event. Clearly defines the scope of services (full planning vs. day-of coordination vs. partial planning), the planner's authority to act on the couple's behalf with vendors, payment schedule, what happens if the wedding is postponed or cancelled, and the planner's liability for vendor failures outside their control. The most important distinction is between full-service planning (planner selects and manages all vendors) vs. day-of coordination (couple handles planning; planner executes on the day).
